Sales Tax Policy

Sales Tax Policy

Overview

We are committed to full compliance with U.S. sales tax laws. Because sales tax rules vary by state, some orders may be subject to sales tax even if it is not automatically calculated at checkout.

This page explains when sales tax applies, what “nexus” means, and when customers may be responsible for paying use tax directly to their state.

States Where Sales Tax Is Always Due

Regardless of whether tax is calculated at checkout, sales tax is required and will always be due for orders shipped to:

  • New York

  • New Jersey

  • Michigan

  • Florida

If sales tax is not collected at the time of purchase, we may invoice you separately, or you may still be legally responsible for paying the tax.

Other States

We may also have sales tax obligations in additional states, depending on evolving nexus laws and sales activity. If tax applies to your order but is not shown at checkout, it may still be due.

Use Tax Responsibility

If sales tax is not collected by us, you may be required to report and pay “use tax” directly to your state. Use tax generally applies when:

  • You purchase taxable goods without paying sales tax at checkout

  • The goods are shipped to a state where tax is legally due

Use tax is typically reported on your state income tax return or through your state’s tax authority website.

Customer Acknowledgment

By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

  • Sales tax may be due even if not collected at checkout

  • You are responsible for paying any applicable use tax required by your state

  • We may contact you regarding unpaid sales tax where legally required
